Re: Highest Paid Acting job of all time?
i am interested in this info too. you can often find salaries for some of an actor's movies by reading his or her imdb biography.
edit: imdb lists two $20M paydays for Will Ferrell. |

Re: Highest Paid Acting job of all time?
[ QUOTE ]
Before most of you were born, Marlon Brando got an insane amount of money for his two minutes of acting in Superman. [/ QUOTE ] I think if you adjust for inflation, this is the winner, at least in terms of salary vs. screen time. Brando ended up with about $14 million (in 1978 dollars) for roughly 10 minutes of screen time; so, $1.4 million per minute. Arnold got $25 mil for 20 minutes in Batman & Robin, which at $1.25 mil/minute is still less than Brando before adjustment. |

[/ QUOTE ] I don't know if he would have gotten any sort of %, at the time he was just a carpenter who had done some acting in American Graffiti. Alec Guiness though, he had a percentage of the film though, he probably made a good amount. |

Guiness was a bit hard up for money at the time. That's why he was willing to do what appeared to many to be a B-movie. |

Re: Highest Paid Acting job of all time?
Wikipedia says this about Guinness:
His role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the immensely successful original Star Wars trilogy brought him worldwide recognition to a new generation. Guinness agreed to take the part on the condition that he would not have to do publicity to promote the film. He was also one of the few cast members who believed that the film would be a box office hit and negotiated a percentage deal that made him very wealthy in later life. |
