Re: Worst $10-million baseball player
This falls under the Jeff Bagwell cateogry, but didn't Mo Vaugh and Albert Belle make something like $50mill between the two of them after their last PA?

I think everyone who gets hurt shouldn't count. [/ QUOTE ] What about if they are hurting the team financially because they won't retire? Plus, he did play some in 2005. And when he played, he was awful. |

Re: Worst $10-million baseball player
Dreifort and Park I would say are the top 2. Possibly the two dumbest contracts ever given out.

Re: Worst $10-million baseball player
Can someone tell me what the point of the Dreifort contract was? I saw it a year or two ago and it blew my mind that a player that bad could make that much money. What were they thinking at the time?

The answer to this is quite simple. Jason Kendall. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think this can be the correct answer. Obviously he sucks for $10M, but how much worse than an average catcher is he? Whereas someone like Park not only cost more money, but was far worse than average. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though. |
