Re: what to drink to seem sophisticated
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] i am fine with a 24 pack and some pizza.. but when going out with females i usually get all cought up in the moment and drop the ball and order some ghey fruity drink... what should i get from a nice restruant to seem like i know what i am doing? also with the name can i get the pronounciation so i don't seem like a fool. TIA - fat kid with no skills [/ QUOTE ] Here is some advice from a veteran - red wine or a drink like vodka/tonic or gin/soda. If you order the gin, drink WITHOUT straw straight from glass - real men don't use straws. [/ QUOTE ] I read the thread until I got to this one. If no one had made this point, I was going to. I took a bartending course a few years ago and the teacher was from Australia. He taught us never to put a straw in a man's drink. He told us that if a bartender ever served a man a drink with a straw in it in Australia, he'd get decked. He was right. It's just too girlie. |

[/ QUOTE ] I was under the impression that - particularly at restaurants, I guess - liquor drinks were served with straws to distinguish them from non-liquor drinks. Is that not at all the case? |

[ QUOTE ] To me a LI Iced Tea is an androgynous drink for people who want to get really [censored] hammered, and probably have sex with a stranger. [/ QUOTE ] Wasn't that what you were pounding at 4AM at Hollywood Tunica? Zing! [/ QUOTE ] I honestly don't remember what I was drinking that night Just that it was free! |

[/ QUOTE ] Most of the Gin and Tonics I've ever had came with 2 little coffee stirrer type straws. In the event there is a straw failure I will be covered. Also, well gin and tonics taste like paint thinner. Sapphire all the way. Well, twice or so. Then it's on the cheap stuff. |

klaching, Does she have implants? [/ QUOTE ] Oddly enough, I had the same thought. This picture makes me suspicious. Girl on right, real. Girl on left, fake. |
