Re: Bears Vs. Seahawks
[ QUOTE ]
Hasselbeck's performance was horrid. I blame the loss on him. [/ QUOTE ] He made mistakes but the blame is collective. Some bad play calling in fourth quarter cost the Seahawks. Third and 1, and fourth and 1 calls in the last two minutes cost them the game. A quick short pass could have went for a TD or at least easy fieldgoal range. Or other calls. Hawks played about as well as they could. Good football game. Much better than what I expected. -Zeno |

Re: Bears Vs. Seahawks
The fact is Seattle wasn't that good this year. Yes it can be attributed to injuries, but even a healthy Alexander hasn't been that good this year. If you think this game was an indication of his return, a similar D without Harris and Johnson up front had been getting run over lately, even up the middle.
Another thing is the Chicago team that Seattle almost beat wasn't really that good. I honestly don't think anyone in the NFC is really that good and arguably NO and Phi were probally the best 2 teams in the NFC at the end of the season. Seattle has a lot of work to do this year. They need to improve their line. Without Hutch, they were no where near the high power attack they were in previous seasons. They also need to get secondary help. Their secondary was exposed when they were on the field too much this season. Last season due to a dominant O they weren't on the field much and had a pretty solid year. |

Re: Bears Vs. Seahawks
my impression: Lovie's short yardage defensive schemes pwned Holmgren's short yardage play calling.
Hey Holmgren, spread the offense out. SIgh....a crummy Bears team has a legit shot at the super bowl. |

It was funny to see them blow the gift possession they got after Seattle was flagged for trying to cause a false start on the FG. Punt return was a clear block-in-the-back. It's amazing a penalty was actually called on a Hester return. The Rams weren't so fortunate during the obvious holds on Hester's runbacks. |

[/ QUOTE ] Come on that was dead obvious and a terrible Ron Turner play call on third and 10 when he could have run the ball for three yards would have made that game not even gone into overtime. I think it's time for you to give the Bears credit. If the whole team shows up there are not many teams who can beat them. |
