Re: 6 numbers
We know the strength of gravity.
I conclude this has nothing to a hole in the ground. |

[ QUOTE ] To reduce ...say the perfect strength of gravity to the same level as a hole in the ground is a grave misrepresentation of the facts IMO. [/ QUOTE ] Its not a representation of any facts so it cant be a misrepresentation. Its addressing a misconception. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry for linking these points - what did you mean then? |

Re: 6 numbers
There aren't fine-tuned grooves that if changed made the puddle cease to exist.. this is silly. A puddle is a body of water, no complexity. Life/the universe, on the other hand is held perfectly in a balance of physical consstants that is keeping the good ship afloat. Even the slightest of a change to these values means non-existance. You can't say the same about a puddle.. well at least I can't say the same.

[/ QUOTE ] What you are implying here godboy, is that your god was/is limited by physical constraints as they are manifested, that he could not design a universe with different physical constraints. Interesting but rather a puny view of god. |

Re: 6 numbers
What's more, there is a certain circularity about the argument godboy puts forward. If god is limited, he is no better than ET, or an alien super civilsation, dependent on natural laws and we have pushed back the argument about who/what created those. If he is is not limited, or is omnipotent, then there is nothing particular or remarkable about natural laws that he designed and things fitting into those, but what becomes more interesting are the obvious imperfections to be found.

Re: 6 numbers
Do you realize that gravity is a greatly misunderstood force?
