[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Ty, I use the stall alot online, I am a clock junkie, if I think an extra 30 seconds could be used up to hit a small stack at at a bigger blind and ante I will do it every time. I appreciate the advice. [/ QUOTE ] I hope this is a joke. Stalling is an extremely douche baggish thing to do. [/ QUOTE ] This is perhaps the most ironic post in the history of 2+2. ya if anything this is the tournament you don't mind busting out early in. oh yeah, pics or ban [/ QUOTE ] Besides, there will be cash games and other tournaments to play every day while you're there if you bust out of the big one. And, yeah, the Atlantis is pretty awesome anyway. |

Re: PCA Bahamas
1st: don't ever stall ever again. It is the most annoying move ever and DOES NOT help your expected value. Especially when it's hand for hand.
Now that that's cleared up, just go out and play poker. If you cleared the steps you have to have some idea what you're doing. The structure is good enough that you should have no problem lasting to day 2 just playing poker, but by just playing poker and not "using the stall" you maximize your expected return as well. Have a pina colada. Relax. It will make you play better because this is your first big tourney and you're going to be a nervous wreck. Just remember that us internet kids just get two cards also and contrary to popular belief we cannot see your cards either. Good luck. Devo |

Re: PCA Bahamas
Man, my stall comment has gotten completely out of hand. I play big tournaments rarely, once or twice a yr. I play SNG's, 9 or 18 players, small stakes.
#1 If I am in the SB, the blinds are 100, 200 ante 25, there is less than 1 min to next blind, it being 200, 400 ante 25. The player about to be in the BB is a short stack with the blinds going to put him all in. I will if I can put him up to the next level, that way I am on Button and myself and someone else has the potential to knock him out, we do it. There are usually no more than 4 players left at this level. Is this a bad play, if yes I will change. THIS IS WHAT I MEAN BY CLOCK JUNKIE!!! I would have no idea how to stall in a live tournament anyway, would not could not do it. |
