Re: AK 3 barrel deep stacked
[ QUOTE ]
The flopbet is fine, the shove is nothing but terrible. [/ QUOTE ] Why bet into a empty side pot w/ nothing? Sure, if he has nothing we protect equity, but if he has something we just "lost" a PB. |

It kinda sucks to build a pot in a empty side pot with the plan to bluff it home on later streets. |

[/ QUOTE ] We have the best hand VERY often, and when we dont we could probably make him fold his weak hands since he should expect us to be strong when we bet into an empty sidepot. Also, even if we get called on the flop we could still improve our hand on the turn. Its an easy bet imo. |

Re: AK 3 barrel deep stacked
Why not reraise pre against the shortstack? I hate your line in this hand, especially when he donks river.

We cant reraise preflop.. [/ QUOTE ] this is a good reason to raise to 20 instead of 22 if you think of it. i think villain often has Tx and is blocking the river, but i still think you should just check it down from the flop on. then the turn bet is terrible and the river push is bad. |

Re: AK 3 barrel deep stacked
Given the way villain played this hand I'm going to assume he's a big fish, and trying to run big bluffs on really fishy players is usually lighting money on fire....especially loose passive ones.
