97s is the nuts, but fold this somewhere. preflop would be best, and the river would be second best.

I would have 3-bet the button on the flop, so that I could then lead the turn and river.

I would have preferred that to check/calling the turn and river in case the button checked behind.

Flop bet was also fine in my humble opinion.

Oh, and I ignored the pf raise as requested.

It's another flop donk with TPWK!

I would never play it this way, but if I did I would fold the river.

opponent makes a good bit of difference here. the guy's a spewtard. i'd bet/3bet this usually and i wouldn't consider folding the river if i played it as hero. the guy will raise a huge range on the flop, and when that river card comes, he's going to bluff every unpaired hand and check behind some paired ones.

Here's the read:

[ QUOTE ]
Button had been getting out of line all session, he started trying to blind steal like mad and got caught with 36o with a flop of 33K. He had been running pretty well and was generally agressive.

[/ QUOTE ]

There's a bit of a gap between spewtard stealing and spewtard isolations. OP doesn't talk about villain showing down bluffs or trying to run over players. He just says that villain is running well. The 63o hand is almost a red herring here because it's not very usable information. If villain had flopped nothing and "got caught", I would feel very differently.

he should have said how long he had been at the table.

"getting out of line all session" and "Button was 73/28/1.62" to me means i'm putting a lot of bets in on the flop and never folding.

why no donk aaron

BTN is a complete tard and will be raising so much junk ... it will force SB's hand

perhaps I could see going for a check raise on a rainbow flop that contained a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (TPWK+BDSD+BDFD) .. even then I would prefer a donk

I'm certainly 3betting the flop though

*grunch

if you play that its a raise, never limp in 6 max unless you are last in a big pot of calling stations or have that kinda hand on the button.
utg I don't play that hand even with table conditions like the ones you describe.

I am loose but not that loose.

If I played that hand I would assume I am on super idiot table and 3 bet the flop. if he caps it I peel 1 and fold UI.

if he calls 3 bet i would bet/fold turn and check/fold river.

this is precisely the reason why you don't play this oop, so much crap can drop that kills you.

All good expect you should fold preflop. 97s is like 450th nuts (of 1326).

I bet out on the flop because the pot was pretty big, and the button was a spaz so I hoped he raised to kick the SB out. What do you think?

[/ QUOTE ]

if this is your plan then you need to 3bet the flop once given the option
