The better question is, where is everyone? The fields for the HORSE and PLO were tiny.

I can understand HORSE, since the stud games might not be as well-known in Europe (they are barely known to the public at large here), but I thought PLO was Europe's game of the continent.

Run some satellites, or something.

I honestly do not know why the satellites were on Betfair and not an 'open to all site' like FTP',stars, UB?

maybe because Betfair is the main sponsor of the WSOP Europe.

And I think the Bracelets should definetly count. Maybe the toughest fields ever in one tournament of the WSOP.

[/ QUOTE ]The PLO field was not that small, the buyin was £5000, more than the $10000 PLO event at the WSOP in vegas which had a top prize of $768k, the top prize in the WSOPE PLO event was equivalent to about $470k which isn't much smaller and similar to the top prize of the WSOP omaha event as recently as 2005.

Whether they are counted as official WSOP bracelets or not winning one of these events is certainly more impressive than winning one of the early WSOP events. This one appears to have been a $10k heads uo tournament with a $10,000 buyin and $20000 first prize. http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/even...a=r&n=8186

Mitch, I agree with your sentiment, but saying

It also had a better structure than even the $50k HORSE.

is just ridiculous. I played both, and the 50k had a MUCH better structure, although the one in london wasn't bad.

How can you say a 3 day tournament had a better structure than a 5 day one with a similar number of entries?

I did see something I have never seen in a limit tournament: someone busted the first level - Marcel Luske. I was at his table, and he certainly was playing loose, but wasn't playing unreal terrible or anything like that.

Edit: FWIW I voted that they count. Originally I was a bit skeptical, but after playing both the events here and in Vegas, I think these should count as being even more prestigious. Tougher fields and bigger buyins.

How is this even a real question?

The bellagio Cup gave out bracelets, Do these count?

This is the dumbest question ever. The WSOP and WSOPE are two separate events. \

You can win a WSOPE braclet

and a WSOP bracelet
and a WSOOP bracelet
and a Bellagio Cup bracelet....
and...
and...

THEY ARE DIFFERENT EVENTS!! Sorry EU, you are not special.

My point was that this event held in EU is not special. I do not remember referring to America as special in anyway. I think it would be awesome if WSOPE continues to be or grows into a premier event. However, please tell me you agree that the WSOP and WSOPE are completely different events and that the "Do they count" question doesn't make much senses?

What do they count for?

If the poker community begins to see that WSOPE events have harder fields, it is very possible that WSOPE bracelets become more prestegious. I.e. so and so is a 5 time WSOPE bracelet winner....

However, I don't see how bracelets won in a different event will ever "count" as WSOP bracelets.

Am I the only one who sees no logic in this question?

If you win the Stud Eight or Better event during the WSOP, it sure does count.

If that event where a man and a woman played together (the one sklansky won) counts then there's no way these don't count
