What's your point? I want to know what OOT would be willing to endure.

AC,

I don't understand polls like this. While I can imagine some having a good reason or thoughtful piece behind the scenes, it doesn't feel like that here...I mean, what gives!? Just really curious about the topic? Seems so contrived as to not be all that interesting...Maybe you coul shed light on it....

FWIW I'd have a hard time accepting anything less than a high 6 figures offer, which is several times more than i'm making now, just because I think i'd end up writing "all work and no play makes jack a dull boy" more than 'decab' 2000 times...

Goddamit my thread does not suck! I took like 5 whole minutes to think up this scenario and I have a poll and everything.

Well since I don't really care about doing good in the world or benefiting society in anyway all jobs pretty much equate to the one I made up above. So basically I want to see how much others in OOT would want before enduring something they would find unendurable (which to me would be any kind of job.)

The must sign on for 5 years thing pushes it way up. If it was for 2 years or less I think I could do this for 50k/yr, but at 5 years I would need at least 90k after taxes.

I'm totally serious. And no, it's not that I'm such a balla who already makes great money. I make $30-$40K/yr playing poker, and I'm very happy. The whole reason I started playing poker was to avoid getting a job like that. I would kill myself after a month if I wasn't making a huge life-changing amount of money.

PS: thread does not suck, it's an interesting hypothetical.

This thread would have been cool if Zach had started it; he'd have done it right .
