The rush of traffic to flame you!!!
Why so passive on the turn? The pot is what it is (big in relation to our stack), and you've got 18 outs to improve... 11 of them are nut hands. |

I don't think I have 18 live outs. Any hand that's limp/calling here and hit this flop either has a strong hand or an ok hand with a strong draw.
Which is a better argument for getting it in on the turn rather than freaking when the ace of clubs comes off and I get to play crying call time? |

I really don't think a check/call is an awful decision here. However, I am willing to get it all-in on the turn if it comes down to it. Though I'd prefer not to make a big move until the river comes down.
I don't mind keeping the pot small on the turn. You only have ace high and not all of your outs may be live. |

why such a small flop bet? i think i'd either check/fold or lead out for something 180-220ish.. your flop bet is going to get called by a ton of hands and just makes the pot bigger when oop.. i'm check/folding this flop probably 90% of time.
what do you think? |

in a $2 tourney i'm gonna check fold this flop, best to conserve your chips for when u make a hand, because you will get paid with a big one.
if i bet the flop and pick up the flush draw, i'll probably check call. however with that weak bet i'll probably reraise him all in, giving him a tough time to call, and you got a lot of outs if he calls. pez |

It's a tough spot on the flop, but I think you have to go ahead and bet at it. Here is why:
What hands in your PF range are you checking on this flop? Are you ever checking AA? Are you ever checking AQ? Are you checking a set? No never. The board is too scary. You are always betting those hands to protect your hand. So if you check this flop, you should look real weak. A good opponent will put you squarly on AK or a lower pair and fire a PSB every time and you will have to fold. Of course our villain in this hand is probably terrible. But if you want to think about how to play against good opponents, I think you have to c-bet. After he calls, checking the turn seems ok and everything after that seems good. |
