Wussy question, when do you guys go for your PR - on an off day, at the end or beginning of your workout session? I haven't actively tried to find my PR for anything in awhile since I'm generally familiar with everything I do in my circuits.

Funny benching story. Was in the gym monday and some guys were doing a "chest" workout. Lets just say the benching they were doing would probably be called 8 board pressing with assistance. Really amazing how much you can bench if all you do is bend your arms about 30 degrees!

PR - 245 (6 yrs ago)
Current - Probably 205-215 I'm 6'2" 180-185. My focus is on endurance training so poor upper body strength isn't unexpected but it still can be frustrating. |

The real question should be "how much can you bench with proper form." The answer to that for most people is about 25% less than whatever they say their max is.

5'10" 185lbs
PR 205 Current max 195 Workout = 135x4x8 I have a feeling it's going to keep going down as I'm doing my first ever cut and I'm down 30lbs of fat. Still have another 30lbs to go. |
