Re: NL200 Top Set
i dunno renton raising the turn seems to turn the hand into a bluff more than raising for value, in what cases do you think raising this turn is a +ev play?

Re: NL200 Top Set
Being that he's an unkown im assuming hes calling the turn raise with a lower set, and possibly even an overpair.

Re: NL200 Top Set

Re: NL200 Top Set
How often does villain make a smallish 1/3 PSB holding a hand as strong as a straight when hero has already called a 1/2 PSB? There are many decent second place hands hero could have, plus the FD, so if I were villain and strong, I'd bet more.
So villain makes a bet that's too small to extract the most value, then follows up with an oversize 2xPSB. I know this could be a straight, especially if villain is like my 25NL opponents, but how often? |

Re: NL200 Top Set
