Re: $16s - 15/30, AKo shoving over limpers and a weak raise
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] reraise to 250 is wrong here? [/ QUOTE ] yeah, i think so. Its really early, I really don't want to risk many chips to something like a flip at this point. When the blinds get higher its standard, but here I like a call and a flop evaluation. [/ QUOTE ] Do we re-raise PF if we're on the button? If so how much? |

Re: $16s - 15/30, AKo shoving over limpers and a weak raise
This is a tricky spot because if you call you are going to be in a 450 chips pot, 5-way. So if you flop an ace or K you are getting all your chips in the middle but if called a set will not be that uncommon. I would probably look at villian stats before making up my mind. If there were some huge lags capable of callin with AJ and KQs then I'd push. Vs. tighter and more passive opponents I'd just call because these are not the players that want to get it all in L2 with AJ.

Re: $16s - 15/30, AKo shoving over limpers and a weak raise
This might be a spot to reraise to 200 even if it's a donk raise just to stop the limpers from calling and you're only putting in 200. Shoving and calling can't be too bad.

Re: $16s - 15/30, AKo shoving over limpers and a weak raise
I think this might be a good spot for a minraise. You don't need to push out the inital raiser, it'll be enough to prevent extra callers, and it keeps c-betting as cheap as possible. I really dislike making a standard reraise, and calling into a multiway pot isn't exactly the greatest spot either.

If you don't get pushed you probably get two callers so you won't want to c-bet a missed flop. |

Re: $16s - 15/30, AKo shoving over limpers and a weak raise
I would probably call the shove against most players. Calling the 90 is probably best though.
Edit: I think the general agreement here is that this play is fine and definitley profitable, but it can be played better and more profitably. Calling the 90 and seeing a flop is probably the best line. |
