Re: Weird AQ line 3bet pre
Any hand that you're afraid of him having that is keeping you from betting the flop, will bet the flop itself and you won't be seeing a turn.

Re: Weird AQ line 3bet pre
because its 6 max and reraising AQs vs an unknown regardless being UTG or not folds hands like 22-88 SCs, etc. that we dont want to take a flop with OOP.
Also if we arent reraising AQs then our reraising range is pretty damn small and we are very likely to not get action on future reraises. |

If I'm betting AA on this flop, I'm betting AQ. Remember, villain is unknown. [/ QUOTE ]which means that he has no idea how we play AA. tell me why you are betting this flop when you know hardly anything that cold-calls the 3-bet is folding? Are you really going to fire a 2nd barrel and get him to fold TT? |

[/ QUOTE ] i don't think he folds a pair, but he will usually fold all unpaired hands like AK, AQ, AJs, KQs, or some other overcards that didn't connect with this board. he won't always have a pair here. |

[ QUOTE ] If I'm betting AA on this flop, I'm betting AQ. Remember, villain is unknown. [/ QUOTE ]which means that he has no idea how we play AA. tell me why you are betting this flop when you know hardly anything that cold-calls the 3-bet is folding? Are you really going to fire a 2nd barrel and get him to fold TT? [/ QUOTE ] I think he calls preflop with AK+, AQs, AA-TT, sometimes smaller pairs and big suited cards. And I think he sometimes 3bets AA and KK so we can slightly discount those. Not taking into account the rare small pair and big suited cards like KQs, There are 16 combinations of AK, 4 combinations of AQs, and 6 combinations of each AA-TT. We'll discount that to 4 of AA and KK to make up for him 3betting those preflop. That's 18 combinations that he folds on the flop (16+4 minus 2 for AKc and AQc). 22 combinations that call or raise the flop. 18 times we win the pot, 22 times we lose our bet. We can bet up to 80% of the pot just on that info. Take into account that sometimes when he calls with something like TT we have outs to beat him. Also take into account that sometimes he'll have complete some random [censored] like KJ. Also take into account that you are betting AA here so if someone IS paying attention, you'll get more action on your big hands when you bet the flop with them. Also take into account that if you check he will sometimes bluff the flop with a hand that you are ahead of. |
