if the turn checks through don't we pretty much have to bet the river?

No I don't think it accomplishes much. Inducing bluffs is probably best at this point.

- you dont think he has a flush draw
- he doesn't have an ace
- from his perspective how the hell is he going to bluff here? i realize you probably have a bunch of kings in your range (preflop i mean I assume you're betting the turn with those 100%) but do you think he knows this? I think you are unbluffable here aren't you?

i think the value we get from pocket pairs is probably better. I guess you could be wrong about the flush draw though or I'm giving him too much credit.

Whoa, no totally disagree. If the turn checks through you get called on the river by some ridiculous small pair he might have played that way and king high (at least I do). You're hand looks like absolutely nothing. If the turn checks through you have to bet the river. I don't know wtf mike l. is talking about about check/folding the river though. You have the nuts.

pretty sure mike was assuming that villain actually bet the turn, we called, and then he bet the river. that is actually close imo.

I know that's what he is assuming and I am saying we have the nuts. Well I guess not the nuts because I wouldn't checkraise the river but I'd check/call so fast and expect to see a total bluff most of the time.

im talking about c/f the river assuming roy bets the turn and river. i think it's better to bet the river if it gets checked through on the turn as you do get called down very light and the turn check is oftentimes a defensive check with a non-A hand that wants to showdown. especially in vegas.

Yeah I realize this is definitely the online player in me coming out. Glad we agree when the turn checks through.
