Re: A river c/r bluff
i simply don't think this will work often enough to be profitable.

Re: A river c/r bluff
his line looks like a weakish Q, and your line is so FOS i think you are getting called a lot here.

[ QUOTE ]
Also, another barrel on the river will fold out 9's, maybe a weak pocket pair and also higher flush draws. Checking through allows him to take it down with those hands. So should we typically c-bet our busted semi-bluff here, or do you guys just give up on this river as a standard play? [/ QUOTE ] He would have bet the flop with a 9 and I think he'll bet PPs often as well (that's partly why I don't like the river c/r, villain often has a Q here). No I most often just check/fold the river. I think the turn bet doesn't rely on bluffing the river to be profitable. I probably fire on an A or K river though. |

Re: A river c/r bluff
A PSR is 41. You prolly accomplish the same thing w/ a raise to 35. I observe villains tend to call smaller bets/raises if they get laid the same pot odds. So if the pot was twice bigger and u tried the PSR bluff, they'd be much more likely to fold, although getting the same 2 to 1.
