Re: The longest B&M session you have had.
I will tell you as soon as I get back from Tunica as it will be my first run in a B&M enviornment. I suspect that I will spend a huge amount of time on it though since that is all I am going to Tunica for.

Re: The longest B&M session you have had.
Ummm, i think I played for 10-12 hours or so once.
Thread reminds me of how much I dislike guys who fall asleep at the table. given the 'missed big-blind button' for a couple orbits while they sit there drooling. Dude, just leave the freaking table!! |

Re: The longest B&M session you have had.
I've had a couple 30 hour sessions at the 4/8 at Commerce, but wouldn't want to do it again. Both times came from going down 3-4 racks, getting stubborn and deciding that I wouldn't leave until I was up or even. Both sessions started on a Friday after a full day of work, so I was really hurting by late Saturday night. Driving home in that state (esp on the 5 Freeway) is really stupid and dangerous and I decided I won't do it again.

Re: The longest B&M session you have had.
26 hours at Winstar 2/5. I didn't want it to be that long, but after hour 23 or so, I won an $1800 pot off the table maniac, and didn't want to hit and run, so I decided to stay a little while later. Then, about an hour later, I won a $3200 pot, so I had to stay even longer. Those two hands turned a small win into my best cash night ever.
I've played between 20-22 hours several times. |

[ QUOTE ]
Isn't that funny how most our stories end up with smaller "winnings" then we can do in much shorter sessions. I think that gives us some insight about general deviation and how we must be focused and thinking about the game moreso then playing in it to truely maximize each situation. I guess playing because we love it, can be somewhat counterproductive. I wanna go to the Bike right now.... or better yet, north to the Chumash. Its a quicker trip and has much looser games. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with the shorter sessions theory....seems if I am leaving the casino when the sun is rising....I am always just getting back even for the night...shorter 3-4 sessions net me 4-5 BB/H playing 6/12 or 8/16 now... just my $.02 worth... Re: The longest B&M session you have had.
22 hours.
I find that I do well when I stay through the middle of the night, because the other players just keep getting worse and more drunk as the night goes on, and I'm an insomniac so I have an edge. Plus I usually have a bigger stack as the night goes on, and it is easy/fun to play with 3-5 buyins in front of you when everyone else has 1 buyin. |
