"While I'm sure Tomlinson's great day will boost him up some, I'm pretty sure he still won't have been even the best RB this season."
I'm an LJ fan personally, I mean if we are talking about RB's. |

Re: NFL MidSeason Awards
belichick does not get coach. john madden actually made a good point during tonight's game when he said that the pats play calling was too tricky. if a team can't stop a run through the middle, why call an end around? a 6-2 start is not a big accomplishment at all for new england, so why does belichick get top coach now. reputation i suspect.
payton should be the best coach through a half season. |

payton should be the best coach through a half season. [/ QUOTE ] Why not Tony Dungy? His team is 8-0. |

addai over colston? you gotta be kidding. [/ QUOTE ] Colston would be my #2. Addai has the highest run success rate in the NFL at 71% and he's ranked as the 5th most valuable running RB on Football Outsiders(before his very efficient game today) despite playing in a singleback offense. He's also been productive as a receiver(.76 catches/target) and by all accounts is a valuable pass protector. Colston is close, but I go with Addai. [ QUOTE ] also bellicheck over peyton? wtf? [/ QUOTE ] Everyone likes the guys that haven't won coach of the year before and the underdog coaches, but I'd take Belichik over any coach in the league. I think he has the best schemes week after week, the best in-game decision making and play calling and he is skilled at developing players and getting the most out of veterans. |

Re: NFL MidSeason Awards
Meh, coach of the year = team the media was the most wrong about in the preseason. Doesn't mean Lovie Smith was a better coach last year than he is this year.
I probably would've said Shannahan last yr; I still don't understand how that team wins so many games. |
