many casino jurisdictions still do not use CSM's at all - particularly AC and foxwoods (mohegan does on a limited basis). if anything, I've seen more ASM's installed as of late in order to reduce shuffle time, both those are still "regular" shoe games which can be theoretically beatable under the right circumstances. as mentioned, CSM's have bombed to a degree because BOTH ploppies and counters hate them.
IMO the casino public has done a reasonable job resisting CSM's on a macro level as they have with the 6:5 games. certainly neither of them are going to disappear, but any concern that they are "taking over" the majority is way too pessimistic and not indicative of all of their true market share, both past and present. |
