Re: New Dell laptop 1920 x 1200
Dennisa,
Good job configuring your machine. You made your machine very well balanced without going overboard. I've found having an extra battery and power cord to be a lifesaver. You'd be surprised how easy it is to lose track of time while on battery and how annoying it is to crawl underneath the desk to plug the machine in everytime you use it at home. You'll be sitting pretty with the CompleteCare package. I never buy extended warranties for desktops, but I felt it was good insurance for a laptop. The Dell employee that I dealt with told me the screen alone can be a grand to replace (probably cheaper now). Still, all it takes is one drop and.... Check out Computrace Laptop Theft Recovery . If your laptop happens to be stolen, this will allow the authorities to locate it when the theif connects to the internet with it. On my 9300, it is integrated right into the BIOS, which is extremely cool. I'd suspect that your E1705 should have the same feature. It sure does help to actually be able to see the computer before buying it, huh? Glad to have helped. |
