Troy Aikman just said the following:
"Hard to get it up when you're looking between your legs". |

something wrong with that?
I definitely agree with that statement...although I'm not sure why he would discuss this topic during a football game. |

Re: Favorite Uncomfortable Sports Broadcasting Moments
[ QUOTE ]
I used to work in TV in Indiana and the grapevine story behind "Boom goes the Dynamite" was that the kid was actually a producer and was just filling in at the last minute because the regular sports guy was sick/late or something. I heard it secondhand (a guy I worked with had worked with another guy who was on the shoot) so take it with a grain of salt. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, he was a late fill-in, and the guy running the teleprompter was also new and basically fast-forwarded through the script, so the kid didn't have any material to work with. Here's an ESPN article about him from six months ago: Brian Collins ESPN Article |

Re: Favorite Uncomfortable Sports Broadcasting Moments
In 1994, the Canadian Olympic hockey team fell in the gold medal game after a heartbreaking shootout against Sweden. CTV reporter Rod Black buttonholed winger Todd Hlushko coming off the ice. On live TV, Black pointed out that Hlushko's father, while on his deathbed, had urged him to bring home a gold medal. Hlushko's father then passed away shortly before the Games. What, Black asked, would his father think of the team winning only silver?
