MT2R: you are getting greedy. At the start of the year you would have been happy with a bowl appearance, period.

[/ QUOTE ] Hopefully this thread rings true by the end of the year. Its very possible. Illinois wins against NW, wins in the Capital One Bowl. Michigan loses Saturday and loses its Bowl Game, and Notre Dame loses to Dook and Stanford. I'm rooting for it. |

[/ QUOTE ] definitely greedy...but if ND can go to a BCS game the last 2 years, the Illini can this year Beating N'western is first and foremost they are a decent squad who seems to play well against the Illini if Illinois beats NW, new years in Florida is the worst case scenario |

[/ QUOTE ] I was lucky enough to be able to watch a lot of games on national TV (as I live on the East Coast). I can't remember the last time they were on a nationally televised game or at least when they had a team worth watching. Watching Juice and crew defeat Penn State and Ohio State was downright [censored] awesome. |

Complete victory today. Our offense looked unstoppable. The only thing that pissed me off was wearing too many layers to the game - it was like 35 at 9:45 then got up to the mid 50s by gametime
From the huge hit on the opening kickoff to Cumberland's one handed "you can't tackle me" TD catch, the game was awesome. I was also very happy with the turnout. As a true Illini fan, I went to the IL-NU game at home 2 years ago (last year in Evanston too...) as a frosh - there were like 10,000 people there. Attendence was announced as like 54,000 - which is awesome considering we are on break and a ton of people went home. Absolutely amazing season after the last two years I've sat through (2-9 and 2-10...ugh). |

What's the story with Cumberland only playing 3 games? And moving from TE to WR?
And what's up with Benn and Cumberland running the ball so much (for big yards)? I'd hate to be a defensive coordinator having to come up with schemes against this team. Lots of speed and you have a lot of weapons in all directions. |
