Re: \"Official\" Poker After Dark thread (week of 1/2)
Wow, Phil is such a sissy.
And please, if the show's going to be this casual, give me more Shana! |

As I said, Phil never disappoints.
Nor did the table's reaction when Phil said he needed silence to deploy his reading skills. |

Re: \"Official\" Poker After Dark thread (week of 1/2)
Annie's snarky comment to Shieky about "hypothetical" was a hoot.
What was NBC thinking when they asked Shieky to participate???? |

Re: \"Official\" Poker After Dark thread (week of 1/2)
Actually, Phil said he thought Annie had a weak ace in the blow-up hand when she had KK, so his reading abilities were a little off on that hand. But give some credit to Sheiky for saying that Phil probably had either A 8 or A 10, the A 10 being correct.

Short stack Phil was pretty hillarious. I'm also suprised that his commentary on how he didn't want to be back was played.

I like the show - very entertaining...all of you complaining are nits. It's a TV show, not a primer on tournament poker.

[ QUOTE ]
I felt bad for Phil. People should damn well shut up when he's got a decision for his stack. The tournament organizer did nothing except laugh at him, which is rather odd to say the least. I also thought it was kind of sad how the rest of the table were acting like school aged bullies ganging up on him. I teach high school and I felt like I was back there from the holidays. Ryan [/ QUOTE ] I agree with this. As hard as it is to feel bad for Hellmuth, the sheer abuse and taunting that he was subjected to by some of the others went way over the line of good-natured attempt to put someone on tilt. The TD dropped the ball there as well. No one came out looking well in this situation. |

[/ QUOTE ] (Spoiler warning) Yeah, I thought Sheiky was particularly douchey when he taunted Phil during his bustout hand. Phil's shove short-stacked with A-rag from the SB was totally standard. When Sheiky called with his 77 and started taunting Phil by saying "who has the best hand now?" or whatever, he just sounded like a 13 year old junior high school punk. It's not like Sheiky outplayed or trapped Phil in that hand. |

Anyone know how much the players are getting for appearance pay?
