Great goal, but Taylor's strike still is goal of the season so far. [/ QUOTE ] Disagree completely, VP's goal takes much more control and skill. I think Essiens goal may be better than Taylor's. Doesn't matter really because Taylor's goal was very sick. |

Much more pressure on Essien than Taylor as well. Excellent stuff. PS: Hope your cb's stay out for a little while longer |

Toure was suspended and I believe Gallas is back soon. Not so much for Henry or Rosicky.

[/ QUOTE ] I'm an Arsenal supporter but I can't see how van Persie's goal could rank higher than Taylor's when Taylor's goal was essentially the same type of strike as van Persie's except from MUCH farther out. van Persie's goal was struck as a one-timer with incredible pace off a volley while running at essentially full speed from just outside of the penalty area (18 yds) while Taylor's goal was struck as a one-timer with incredible pace off an aerial 50/50 ball (equivalent to a volley) while running at essentially full speed from just inside the CENTER CIRCLE (45-50 yds). |

both of those goals are amazing... in my opinion Taylor's has to be considered the goal of the season so far because of the high degree of difficulty and obv how far out he took it from...
just for fun here's a cracker from Rooney last year v Newcastle |

The ball that VP has is one thats flying directly at him, at at least waist level. Also since he is closer he can't boot the ball, he actually has to drive it level/down. The ball Taylor has is right in front of him, and dropping, so its almost like a drop kick.

Taylor's goal was much easier technically. VP's came in at an almost impossible height and he still drilled it in the top corner. Taylor's looks smoother/better but there's no doubt that VP's is goal of the season so far.
