Re: Wynn Poker room BS
morons,
it would be incredibly poor form of a floor manager to actually tell the noisemaker which person had complained about the noise. there's no upside to it, and all downside. when a floor manager says to be quiet, if you want to play there, you be quiet. if your story is correct, she chose remarkably poor wording, and that should be mentioned to her boss. |

She said people were complaining and we asked "ok, who is complaining?" and she couldn't even point to one person. [/ QUOTE ] She's a very classy lady for not pointing out anyone who complained. You never "out" the complainant for many obvious reasons....such as, to protect the complainant's safety, it's none of your business, it doesn't matter..... And who is gonna speak up after a loud obnoxious drunk stands up and basically screams "Who's gotta a problem with me?" Odd, Maverick comes on here, admits he was drunk and probably in the wrong and apologizes and it's like you didn't get the memo? Seriously, she might have gone over board but it sounds like ya'll were out of control and didn't handle it correctly once you were reprimanded. |

but I wonder what Steve Wynn will think when 8,000+ people read my blog tomorrow and see what a bytch you were and how you made a whole table get up and leave, lost the wynn business, and screwed your own dealer out of money!" hahahahaha GG Bryan - 1 Kathrine - 0 pwned That is all. -TheActionKid [/ QUOTE ] First of all, I promise you Steve Wynn isn't going to find out about this, lmao. And if by some chance he did, he wouldn't give a [censored] about you or your arrogant and obnoxious friends. I would have stood up and clapped as you were being escorted out. Idiots. |

Re: Wynn Poker room BS
you don't think a drunk who stands up and screams in the poker-room, "WHO'S GOT A PROBLEM WITH ME?!?!" isn't WAY over the line.
Seriously, it's not all about you (or him...whatever) and the fact that he was celebrating his awesome score in no way makes a difference as to whether his behavior is appropriate or not or whether it is more or less likely to bother other people. If someone screamed that in the room I was playing in I don't think I woud say anything but it would definitely annoy me. especially so if I was trying to focus on a big hand or something. |

devo the wynn was right you are wrong. Nice score at the wsop stop taking second so much lol you need to stay away from cash games and focus on playing just tourneys or you will go broke I played with you many of time at the 15/30 at CP back in the day and mabye your better but now but then you were pretty meh. You have a nice feel for tourneys play them and you will do well stop taking shots at big games going bust and looking for a stake. [/ QUOTE ] I've never gone bust. What's wrong raising a $60k stake to play the WSOP? CP 15/30 = whiffle ball. Also for the record, I was trying to defend the table. It wasn't like she was ever picking on one single person. The way she handled it was absolutely wrong, regardless of who was in the right or wrong. That said, I also handled it not at well as I could have. Devo Devo |

Re: Wynn Poker room BS
Even though I'll concede that the Wynn Poker Room has struggled at times, from reading your post it seems to me that you need to do some growing up.
You need to understand that up until a few years ago, casinos, in general, weren't very happy having poker. If you ever had the chance to talk to a casino executive let's say about five years ago, they would tell you that the majority of complaints they received came out of the poker room and that it only made up a tiny part of the casino revenue. Furthermore, I know for a fact that Steve Wynn seriously considered closing The Mirage Pokerroom before Belagio opened, and almost didn't allow poker in The Bellagio. So I don't suspect he'll be real impressed with your blog entries. Now getting back to the specifics that you describe, the shift manager was probably correct in telling you to pipe down. Did she handle it well? It doesn't sound like it. Can you do better? Absolutely. You need to understand that today's poker boom won't last forever (and may already be on the downswing). I believe it's important for the regular players who make a nice living from the game not to ever give casino executives an excuse to close their pokerroom. For if you do, the outcome may not be what you are hoping for. MM |
