All characters of Commando, besides Arnold and Alyssa. This is probably just me though - I have watched that movie way too many times.

In fact, it goes further. I can't help laughing to myself when any character (or real person) has the name 'Bennett'.

I disagree with frodo and some one who suggested the characters from Rome. For the same reason, Russel Crowe has not remained Maximus to me. If they looked significantly different from what they normally look like, I have no problem mistaking them for their previous roles.

Al Bundy was a good pick though.

Also, "left such a great impression as Napoleon" ... am I the only one who hated that movie?

[/ QUOTE ]

Why yes, I believe you are.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, I guarantee I hated it more than anyone.

Really? I don't get an answer like this. So you're saying you watch Wayne's World, So I Married an Axe Murderer, Shrek, Coffee Talk, Sprockets... and all you can think is "Yeah, baby!"?

Remember, it's not just a memorable character, it's someone you CAN'T SEE PLAYING ANYONE ELSE.

I don't have any good answers that haven't been mentioned. I never thought I could see Stephen Root as anyone but Jimmy James, but he proved me wrong in Office Space.

I have a suspicion Jason Schwartzman will always be Max Fischer to me, but I can't even remember seeing him in anything else. (Which may only prove my point...)

Leslie Nielsen will always be Lt. Frank Drebin to me, but he's not even really trying to break type at this point. Everything he's done since has been a pale imitation. (Airplane! came first so it doesn't fall in that category)

It'll probably be hard for me to see Will Arnett as anyone but G.O.B. Can't say for sure yet though.

I wish I had more interesting answers than this.

I strongly disagree with you here. Pacino is too damn good to be remembered for any one character. You could say:
Pacino is forever Tony Montana
Pacino is forever Lt. Col. Frank Slade
Pacino is forever Big Boy Caprice
Pacino is forever Vincent Hanna
Pacino is forever Carlito Brigante
Pacino is forever John Milton.....I could go on

You get my drift?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't get your drift, because Tony Montana is basically the only one of this group I have heard of besides Big Boy Caprice. Assuming you're talking about Dick Tracy (Warren Beatty) from when I was 9, I didn't even know that was Pacino until about five years ago.

I would say that I most often associate him with Scarface. Godfather is a close second. Maybe I should watch Carlito's Way or some of these others, because I have no idea what you're talking about.

[/ QUOTE ]
Ok, 1)I'm sorry to hear that and 2)Yes, maybe you should.

I agree, Scottie. The fact that he was not subject to the same fate as William Shatner is most impressive.

[/ QUOTE ]

He'll be remembered as both, as Ian McKellan will be Magneto and Gandalf.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think it would break Sir Ian McKellan's heart to hear that...

[/ QUOTE ]
LOL. I was thinking the exact same thing.
