It is good if you want to juice a pot with a strong drawing hand in a multiway pot against opponents who will pay you off. You just have to be able to find marginal folds (Q52 two-tone? how hard will you play it?) and thin value bets well. It is bad however if you want to narrow the field, because the first caller is still getting something like 3:1 immediate odds (and moreso implied due to late limpers). That number might not be exact but that's just quick monkey math from an overtired, overstudied college student. Glad it worked out for you, but I wish it worked out better. |
