Re: NL50: TAG limpcalls my raise OOP and calls my cbet
What are you talking about limp calling? He raised didn't he? I pretty sure that doesn't mean he limped. Bet this turn and plan on getting the rest in.

How do you figure that range? There is really only one draw, a set is raising nearly always on the flop. Bet turn for value, let him call with worse.

Re: NL50: TAG limpcalls my raise OOP and calls my cbet
Why is a set almost always raising on that flop? The people I play think slowplaying is the way you play deep stack poker. There are nearly no draws for a set to worry about. I would say a set raises this flop 50-60% of the time and cr the turn nearly 100% of the time.

Re: NL50: TAG limpcalls my raise OOP and calls my cbet
I think based on combos alone he's got AJ or a non-set PP far more often than a set on this board. Where are you getting your 50% estimate?
Just bet the turn, no reason to think we're beat here yet and we'll get value from jacks. It's a fairly safe board so I'll go to about $15 and see what he does, most likely calling a push. Any particular reason you're reading this guy as a TAG over 46 hands with no aggression in his stats? |

Re: NL50: TAG limpcalls my raise OOP and calls my cbet
I agree that sets are not nearly a veyr big part of his range, however, I likely check the turn here. The reason is against QQ and AJ I expect he'll usually bet the river after I check the turn and then call my shove anyway. And I think checking behind on the turn is more likely to get greater value out of mostly 77-TT but also possibly any nonpaired cards that he might now bluff on the river (specifically AK/AQ.)

Re: NL50: TAG limpcalls my raise OOP and calls my cbet
Thank you for the answers!
I meant raised preflop, and called my 3bet. Im not used to these NL50 numbers (I usually play NL100). |
