Agree completely. With his stack size, if you bet the river like so you must call a push/re-raise. The best option is just to c/c a river bet that is under 2/3 the pot. It's unfortunate with his stack size you have to c/c, but betting here is too risky imo.

I think theres definitely value in a bet here. some worse queens will tag along given the nature of the board, as will most Jx's since they all have gutshots to go with them.

I think having the correct image is definitely important in this spot. With taht said, I really like this bet and if you play anything like me then you'll often be getting looked up with any q, jacks with good kickers and occassionally a hand like TT or 99. I get extra pissed when hands like this call my bluffs so it feels soooo good to vbet thin like this when the opportunity is right. i like the bet a lot, even if you posted it in this instance bc he called w/ AQ.

Then again, in the games i play 95% of the players are weak-tight stations. This will affect my thinking to a very large degree on this particular hand
