Was the 175 too much like a value bet? I mean thinking back, if he did have a set I should have bet half the pot instead of 175?

I dont think you could have extracted any more money unless you threw a smaller bet on the river but it feels like the guy was trying to take the pot on the turn and had nothing

i would have bet the flop and raised the turn. With a big hand i want to play a big pot. It all starts with a flop bet.....as raze says if you bet the flop you can win unimproved...he probably folds underpairs and thats good for you since you dont always make ur flush.

i think it is results oriented to say you couldnt ahve extracted any more money here. with a PFR and KQx flop you'd expect him to have some sort of made hand.

def bet this flop and don't be shy about getting it in. you have 12 outs to the nuts and your outs to the A are often going to be good.

as played generally raise the turn. we don't want to risk another diamond falling and he's probably not putting in anymore money w/o a flush.
