Re: $4 Pstars 180 Person Final Donkament Table - What Would You Do?
Has UTG been raising maniacally? Has he been doing similar things while UTG?
If yes, call. If no, fold. if my instincts are correct, he's playing AJ+ faceup, hence you are flipping for a better stack to take it down |

Re: $4 Pstars 180 Person Final Donkament Table - What Would You Do?
Reads are critical. The only think that makes me think his range might be a little tighter is MP has large chip lead and is after him, but MP is probably not playing a lot of hands. If villian has been active I would think A10+ and allmost any pair are in his range. It is really close if it were 3 handed it would be an easy push and if you were if any action was folded to you I would push.
As is I still probably push and hope for the smaller pair or race against two overs. The STT strategy guys could really help out post there too. |

Re: $4 Pstars 180 Person Final Donkament Table - What Would You Do?
Thanks for the replies everyone! It looks like it was about evenly split between calling and folding - maybe with a little more advice to fold.
Everybody at the table was getting frisky by this point and I had seen UTG push high cards, so I felt pretty good about seeing 2 overs if I called. So I pushed and sure enough he flips AQo. Life was good until the inevitable river A dropped. My logic was like pricklypete - if I folded I might be able to lay low until I hit 3rd or 4th place but then I'd be in no shape to win it, but if I won the coinflip here I'd have a big enough stack to have a decent chance at top 3. Thanks again to everyone who replied! |
