Resources for a first-time property manager
I'm 24, steady job, good credit, $40,000 saved up, living in Raleigh-Durham, NC. I want to start buying and renting out properties and making some cash.
What are some good resources (written, online, IRL...or previous threads) that I should look into to get my feet wet? Thanks! |

I want to start buying and renting out properties and making some cash. [/ QUOTE ] When you say this, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Are you focusing on single family homes, small multifamilies, rooming houses, or large multifamilies? How do you plan on making the money when you buy these properties? Maybe you don't know that answer to these questions yet, and that's ok. In any case, I like John Reed's work (www.johntreed.com). As an introductory book, I liked "property management for dummies". I've read www.creonline.com and www.reiclub.com and enjoyed them, but I'm not a regular reader of either. |
