TPGK c/min raise and further street pressure
Villain 20/15 over a short sample size. Haven't been at the table for more than about 20 hands, but getting cards and tons of action. Have not been caught bluffing; villain hasn't splashed around much since I've been here.

Re: TPGK c/min raise and further street pressure
I call the river. There are missed hearts in his range and the turn looks like a blocking bet. I think a 20/15 would raise better aces preflop especially with two players before him, and an 8 also seems unlikely based on preflop action. Sticky spot, i'm interested to hear other opinions.

I would like to hear from others as well.
I think marginal players like myself struggle with this situation the most often, especially since the turn bet is bringing us along for the ride. |

Would anyone play it different up to the river?

Re: TPGK c/min raise and further street pressure
If you lost, then this is one of those irritating hands where Villain took a trappy line and it worked. But I don't see a fold anywhere.
But if Villain had just checkraised the flop to $3 or $4, I don't think I would have found a fold then either. So he shouldn't be feeling too proud of himself, really. Edit: Anyway, I think this is just one of those awkward spots where if the money all goes in, more often than not, you lose. But Villain will have a worse ace sometimes and will be bluffing at you sometimes, and I'm just not seeing a confident fold you can make either. |

Re: TPGK c/min raise and further street pressure
Flop is WA/WB, see no reason to raise.
Turn is an obvious call. River is more questionable, but I think you call. You haven't shown too much strength other than your continuation bet (you've just called him down), so he may think any A with a kicker that plays is good. |

I know it sucks but probably just fold the flop. I don't see you really ever being ahead in this situation (3 way pot)

Re: TPGK c/min raise and further street pressure
I fold flop. Min raise is for monsters, you don't have much invested. Diff situation with a 33/20/7 opp., but a 20/15 I dump this.

Re: TPGK c/min raise and further street pressure
Is villain really retarded enough to check-minraise a weaker Ace or a flush draw on this flop and then bet three streets for value?
That said, I've called people down in this spot to be shown a busted flush draw, but I didn't feel calling them down was the correct play. I'm probably folding river, personally. I, for one, don't have enough balls to fire three streets like this without a made hand. |
