I put him on AJ+, JJ+ from EP here and possibility 99. Is that a fold and how do you calculate it if you only have SNGPT? |

Re: 16s: TT vs overs at best and no fold equity
Your range is strange. If he raises AJ, he should be raising 88.
Against the given range, it's a pretty easy fold. |

This is not from EP, and without a read, how can you be sure there is no FE?

Re: 16s: TT vs overs at best and no fold equity
If the range you give is good, this is a very easy fold.
To do it with only SNGPT, you need to buy SnG Wiz But doing the calculation by hand is ok sometimes. |

ok, better question.
Is 17bb to many to race with and if not, what is your cutoff? |

Re: 16s: TT vs overs at best and no fold equity
Doesn't really matter what it "is to you", this is six handed.
Also, if we identify a raising range that we are 50% against, and one that will always call - the number of bbs in our stack isn't very relevant. The number of remaining players is. As is the overlay. |

Re: 16s: TT vs overs at best and no fold equity
So 50-50 is good enough regardless of stack size if its 6 handed. Cool, that's a leak plugged.
My mistake was waiting for the push fold phase instead of taking this 50-50. |

Re: 16s: TT vs overs at best and no fold equity
Woooo, I did not say that
I was merely trying to get the outlines for this discussion set straight. Oftentimes, we will have FE. Also, totally discounting FE, our uncertainity in assigning a range to villain will bring a great deal of uncertainity to our equity against said range. But, discussing this hypothetical scenario - the answer is definitely "it depends". Stack size IS important, stack depth isn't. That is, with stacks 6k 4k 2k (hero) 500 500 500 a double up is worth way less than in a scenario 3.5k 2k (hero) 2k 2k 2k 2k. Generally speaking, even with a little overlay, a double up 6-handed is worth quite a bit less than double the initial stack. So, no, 50% equity should NOT be sufficient usually. |
