That was the most difficult hand in my last session, advice needed.
Villain is our beloved and well know station, running at 70/8/0.8 over a sample of 60 hands. WTSD 40%. Please tell me what you would do (and why) if you were in this situation. Party Poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter Hero (SB): $39.67 BB: $33.87 UTG: $29.32 CO: $36.05 BTN: $27.11 Pre-Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB) UTG folds, CO calls $0.25, BTN folds, Hero raises to $1.50, BB calls $1.25, CO folds Flop: ($3.25) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $2, BB raises to $4, Hero ? |

i think i would fold flop tbh, there is lots of 2pair combinations and his af is too low to be bluffing alot.

True, but on the other hand there a tons of Kx combos in his range. I know that he will most likely not fold top pair, so calling might be an option.
edit: Kx combos that don't make 2pair, of course. |

I would call and check to him if you don't improve on the turn. I think you're probably behind but this guy is offering huge implied odds. If you don't improve and he pots the turn, fold.
Have you seen him raise before? |

Have you seen him raise before? [/ QUOTE ] How exactly do you expect to improve? If an A comes, any T gives him a strait. If a K comes, any 2pair on the flop is now a FH.... The only possible way to improve you hand is if a T comes, in which case you could easily be splitting.... This is very villain dependent, but I think if you just call flop and check to him on the turn he is going to be again and you will have to fold, so I don't think a flop fold is terrible here, but I think it is a very tough spot. |

I can't remember if villain raised before, but usually i notice it when players do something different from what their stats sugggest, so i don't think he raised a preflop aggressor before.
MrWooster, you are right about the A, but if i pick up a [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], i have 12 outs to the nuts - and maybe i already have the best hand. Obviously, villain doesn't know to size his bets properly and i will most likely get the correct odds to call his turn bet. edit: will post what happened tomorrow, 3:00 AM here |
