I call the river pretty much always here
Villain is a bad lag, 35/28 and a losing player in my DB. I haven't really seen him in 3 bet pots yet. He's 3 bet twice in about the 40 or so hands we've played. Is calling here pretty much 100% a leak?

Re: I call the river pretty much always here
yea, worst part is he's usually betting a king and I end up feeling completely owned.

Re: I call the river pretty much always here
He can be taking a stab with a pretty wide range here (I would expect a King to bet after you've checked it twice), so I'd call.
And I still don't understand the 3-bet pre-flop/check an A-high flop line - it's not a line I would ever take, so could you explain why you played it that way? |

Either you were planning to give it up completely (or after a c-bet) if ace or king hit, in which case this river is a fold anyway, or you weren't, in which case you really need to call this river. I'm curious about your line here too, as I suck pretty bad and may be failing to see something here. |

Re: I call the river pretty much always here
Because i know nothing really about the players tendencies in 3 bet pots and I turn my hand into a bluff by betting. The board is super dry, and i'm most likely not folding out better hands by betting. It's WA/WB.

Re: I call the river pretty much always here
What is an aggrotard like this checking b ehind twice w/o showdownvalue that he is bluffing the river with? I don't think he is v-betting a worse hand very often here.

Re: I call the river pretty much always here
There might have been some timing tells, i timed down on flop and turn so it might have looked like i was slowplaying top two plus.
