Default Re: Official SSSH LC/NC Thread for November!

I played live 3/6 last night for the first time. yourface was playing 6/12 at another table. I'm pretty sure that game is crushable even with the rake. I ended up down about 1BB for the night (down on table games while I waited for a seat though) thanks to some 1 and 2 outers in decently sized pots.

Fun stuff:

- When I first sat down some laggy asian guy was on my right and was all gamboooool and would raise every time I raised. I ended up capping him in multiway pots twice and missed the flop both times. He eventually left after his random cards couldn't take down 5 way pots.

- One guy flopped a fullhouse against aces. Of course, he slowplayed until the river and then when 4 to a straight and the flush draw came in on the river he threw his hands up and let out a groan like he was upset. So, the guy with aces bets and the guy with the full house raises. Haha.

- It was rare to have a pot be 3-bet post-flop. Even when they had the nuts (or close to it) there would generally only be one raise and a call. I had flush over flush against one guy and could only raise him once. I also had a full house over a flush against another guy and he didn't raise me either. They always assume you have a better hand if you raise.

- The game eventually got down to short-handed and even 4 handed for a while in the early morning and we got reduced rake. This was a great game, but that's when the 1 and 2 outers hit. Eventually the 6/12 game broke and some more aggressive guys sat with us. An intimidating bald guy sat to my left, pretended like he didn't understand how to bet, told me about how he has only played against his grandma and then proceeded to play every pot and raise most of them. Here's a nice hand against him:

He's UTG and limps. 2434252 other limpers. I'm in the BB with ATo and check.

The flop comes KJx with two spades and my ace is the spades. UTG bets 244525 calls and I call.

The turn is an A. I donk bet, he calls, everybody else folds.

The river is a 6 or something, I bet, he asks the dealer "can I raise now?". He raises, I instacall and he shows J5o or something.

- You always have AK if you raised pre-flop and don't bet the flop.
