Ty, very interesting stuff, I'm gonna have to consider this scenario....
...First, comes the cafeteria visits. You have to find someone to sit with and put up with. I found a few guys that didn't look affiliated with anyone or anything. The rest of the prisoners wanted nothing to do with them. This should've been a sign, but I was not a very exprienced inmate and missed what should've been obvious. One guy I ate with frequently was a smallish white dude, younger than me. It just so happened he killed his entire family with a hammer when he was 16.

Don't gamble unless you have the dough. I love to gamble. You will soon find out that gambling makes the time go very, very fast. Unless you have the products to pay right away if you lose, don't even get started. Don't start a "credit line" with people. Pretty soon you will lose your meals, your clothes, etc. Gambling is different in jail. If you don't pay, you get hurt. That's a promise. Not only will you get hurt but if you lose enough stuff, people will consider you "a bitch" because your always giving stuff away. GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY

Other things that could have saved him jail time.
Not hitting the dude.

That said. Good luck with the time OP. I hope it passes uneventfully and without too much hardship.
