Re: The APPT Macau: The First Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament in China!
The Venetian is pretty close and definately is the nicest casino/ hotel out there.
Room rate will run about $200 USD per night. The Westin is nice too and costs about the same. No casino inside though. If you are looking for something significantly cheaper... There are plenty of hotels that will charge around 70-80US per night.... But you will most likely need someone who knows the area to book it for you. The Taipa Square Hotel sounds like one that falls into the following category. You can also try 'Kingsway Hotel' which is located closer to the Sands and the Wynn. This link gives a pretty good idea of what cheaper locations there are to stay:- http://www.hotelclub.net/hotel.reservations/Macau.htm |

I emailed them and the best they could do is that I will have $3100 $W to use towards a future APPT event. I am hoping I could eventually just get $W to use on pstars or possibly use the money towards events in the 2008 WSOP. |

I had a leftover Step 3 and didn't know it. Of course I am gonna win now. I'm up to step 6 and most likely can't go to Sydney (well, maybe). I got this e-mail from stars so maybe I should just hold on to it and not play it. --------- Hello Scott, Thank you for your email. Please rest assured that no one will lose value they have earned in a PokerStars tournament; that's simply not how we do business. Having said that, we haven't decided (yet) what to do about leftover APPT Steps tickets once qualifying is over. I can tell you two things: 1. It's very unlikely that we'll simply convert the tickets to cash. 2. It's quite likely that we'll roll the tickets over into Steps tickets for one of our other satellite series (EPT Season 4, APPT Season 2, PCA, etc.). Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
