Grammy Winners
I avoid all awards shows. As a result I was surprised and a bit bemused to find that two albums that I have played to the point of abuse over the last year were Grammy recipients. Namely the most recent John Prine and Delbert McClinton albums.
If these awards and recognition spur any interest in these brilliant artists then I have to grudgingly say that is positive. |

Re: Grammy Winners
Grammys are good to find albums you wouldn't normally listen to. You got to rule out all the pop crap that gets crazy press from the Grammys.
Soul/R&B isn't everyones cup of tea, but John Legend's "Get Lifted" did pretty well (think he won 3 this past year). Definitely an album you should give a try, even though it might be out of your typical listening style. |

Re: Grammy Winners
There is no way in the world that this artist's real name could possibly be John Legend. I had never heard of him prior to your post, but that is not unusual for an old fart like myself who is becoming increasingly oblivious to current popular musical trends.
