K\'s on the river
so the whole intention here with the flop raise is to either take both of my opponents off the hand or get to check it down all the way.
Question is, is this an easy call on the river?? Re: K\'s on the river
Is it really necessary to put results in white when the results don't reveal anything that we already saw in the hand history?
The turn check seems inconsistent with your flop raise... |

Re: K\'s on the river
I would have bet on the turn. I am a little confused about what happened on the river.

Re: K\'s on the river
I like flop raise if u expect him to call down with a J/pp or u think he is drawing. I used to pop the turn with these but a lot of ppl put u on an A & fold so I raise the flop. Also you should be betting the turn for value.

Why check the turn after the flop raise? If you are raising the flop, I would bet/fold the turn. Stats? Reads? Is the BB capable of bluffing the river? As played, against an unknown, I likely call; against an established rock or typical passive, I fold. |

Re: K\'s on the river
geez, bet the turn....what happens then should be telling.
[ QUOTE ] so the whole intention here with the flop raise is to either take both of my opponents off the hand or get to check it down all the way. [/ QUOTE ] hmmmm, questions for OP: 1. why do you want it checked all the way down? 2. Explicitly, what was your motivation for checking the turn? 3. would u have called if the river wasnt a J? 4. would you have called if the river wasnt a J or a diamond? the thinking behind the play of this hand is as important (or more important) than what action as actually chosen. btw this is 5 handed which has certain implications....the way you played your hand says...."Wiffed and now I dont got squat...feel free to bluff me off my hand on the river!" This pot isnt huge but it isnt that small and in an aggro game this can be a riverbluff because of the way YOU played your hand. Generally speaking, if you play to induce a bluff and dont call when the play 'works' then youve made a mistake. |

Re: K\'s on the river
I think you've induced a bluff. Call.
