You are fine.

I currently run one 30in and one 20in on an 8600gt.

The 8600GT has two dual-link dvi outputs so if you really wanted to you could run two 30in. And your computer has plenty of speed to multi-table and everything else.

you are wasting money on 4GB or RAM and would do much better to upgrade the processor to a E6xxx series.

The video card will be what determines if you can run the 30" mon and dell and Warrior both confirm it will work.

Beavis is right. Upgrade your processor and get less RAM.
