Re: 1/2 Live deep stacked, good semi bluff or spew?
[ QUOTE ]
After reading the responses just calling on the turn and then potting seems sooooo damn clever. That play is absolutely nuts to me, especially since it gives me the added bonus of hitting my full house and the fact that I don't float many flops will help as well. Not sure if I have the balls to pull that one off, but I hope I get into the situation again to try it. [/ QUOTE ] I really don't like it that much in this case. If you're really trying to make a power play with just the lone ace, the delayed bluff sometimes works better, but with top set I prefer to make your move while you still have equity in the pot. I don't think the extra chance that he folds makes up for the loss of equity when he calls, especially considering you also lose value in those cases when he would have called the flop and you fill up on the turn, since now he'll have the opportunity to fold. |

Re: 1/2 Live deep stacked, good semi bluff or spew?
[ QUOTE ]
Ideally, on a naked ace bluff, you want to smooth-call at least one street and raise later to really sell that you're slow-playing a big hand. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree with this, just play your nut flushes faster if necessary. I agree with the "easiest semi bluff ever". |

You better be damn sure your opponent will fire the turn to make that play work, or else you will have to fire turn and river it seems.
