Re: Week 10 Early NCAA Lines
WARNING ABOUT TWO GAMES I KEEP SEEING PEOPLE MENTION:
#1 TEMPLE game: Starting QB Adam DiMichele hurt his leg in their most recent game oct 20th and is out for the season. He is a HUGE part of their offense. #2 TROY/GEORGIA game: I watched the TROY vs. Ark. St game last week and TROY's QB Haugabook left the game early in the 4th quarter with some sort of a hamstring problem. I am not sure if he is playing against GA or not; but he accounts for about 85% of that teams offense. (2nd on team in rushing as QB). just saying to be careful. i would actually play against troy if haugabook doesn't play. updates here: http://omarhaugabook.com/ EDIT: if haugabook doesn't play it will be a freshman QB who starts. freshman QB in GA? nah. fidobuster. |

Re: Week 10 Early NCAA Lines
OSU is coming off a bye week as well. I was going to stay away from this game but bye week + Sagarin + this thread is too much to ignore.
OSU +3 OSU +140 to win 1u. |

Re: Week 10 Early NCAA Lines
fido- Thanks for that link. That is certainly enough to keep me off the game, even if he plays. If they find themselves behind at Georgia, they will probably take him out and not risk further injury. A running QB with a hamstring issue is bad news.

Re: Week 10 Early NCAA Lines
[ QUOTE ]
or is there a legitimate reason for Texas to be favored here. Some injury or something that I'm missing. [/ QUOTE ] there a lot more texas natives betting texas than there are oklahoma natives betting OKSU (they bet OU). the talent base at texas is significantly better than that of OSU, though that is qualified somewhat by systemic changes in the NCAA provisos.. both teams are inconsistent. when better talent plays inconsistently, they may play better than they appear; when lesser talent plays inconsistently, they often play worse than they appear. it is hard to give stats their proper weight in these circumstances. when betting the big 12, i have a tendency to give more weight to the history of two teams than i might in other conferences. texas is 19-2 against OkSU, and has won the last 9 consecutive games. getting texas -3 is actually something of a bargain, in the light of these observations. |

Yeah, that game in 1987 has a bearing on this game, this year.

Pirateboy,
With Barry Sanders vs. Ricky Williams at RB, OSU has a clear edge. |
