Workout A Squat 3x5x190 Surprised that this wasn't gut-busting difficult. Bench 3x5x165 I guess this was easier than I remember it being last time I did 165. Hopefully I'll be able to get through 180 when I get back up there. Deadlift 1x5x215 Wow. This was intense. It's going to be a tough decision between going up only 5lb and putting on two plates next time. |

ok, been a super slacker about updating this. luckily that hasn't translated into slacking at the gym...
11/2/07 Workout B Squat 2x5x195 1x4x195 Form broke down a little. Not good. Military Press 3x5x95 Reset here, so I had no problem. I decided to forego pendlay/cleans in favor of some chin-ups I did a set of 3, a set of 4 and a set of 3. |

Workout A Squat 1x5x195 1x6x185 1x10x135 I tried fixing my grip. I'd been bending my wrists, but it was getting very painful now that I'm squatting a lot of weight. Fixing my grip was tough on my shoulders. Had to drop the weight for the 2nd and 3rd sets Bench Decided to try to attempt a max out. 1x5x45,1x5x95 1x5x135 1x3x165 1x2x205 Turns out that 205 isn't my max, I was pleased to be able to put it up twice. Afterwords I completed 3x5x170 fairly easily Deadlift 1x5x225 Yeah! two plates baby! |

Workout B Squat 3x5x185 This is as good as I've ever felt doing squats. Form felt very good. Figured out the grip, I think my shelf for the bar is a little higher than Rippetoe says it should be. I probably should have done all of this experimenting a while ago when I was squatting less. Military Press 3x5x100 This was fairly difficult. I definitely should go get some little chains for next time, or I'll just stall again. Cleans I decided to try cleans after watching a lot of videos. 3x5x105 They were fun, but I'm probably not employing perfect technique. My lifting partner said my back may not have been as straight as it should be... I think I'm very lucky to be young and have a resillient body. I'm probably a little irresponsible when it comes to lifting form. I'm definitely making great progress though. When I look in the mirror I am looking bigger in the right places. |

[/ QUOTE ] Do you own starting strength? I'm going over it right now and I have a ton of things to work on on my power cleans. Congrats on the 2 plates. I posted some power clean videos in the november monthly [censored] thread, go check those out for excellent power clean form. |
