[ QUOTE ] I love how people are like ZOMG Yankees lost Arod...destined to finish last in division for next 10 years. [/ QUOTE ] No, its more like ZOMG, the Yanks lost ARod, have alienated their free agents and are relying on a pitching staff of rookies and fifty-year olds. They could easily finish third. I know you're pissed that the Sox are winning and ARod left, but try not being a jackass. [/ QUOTE ] Actually I'm not pissed at Sox...they are us now...buying their way to WS. Welcome to Dark Side. Yankees future outlook is greater than anyone besides Sox in our division. Mainly due to the wealth of talent we have pitching wise and the sick amounts of $$$ we will have to spend. |

Our starting rotation in 09 could be(though not likely) Wang, Hughes, Chamberlain, Kennedy, Sanchez which costs us less than 1/2 of Arod's salary this year. no Giambi, Abreu, Damon, Andy...jesus how much salary gone is that? [/ QUOTE ] Giambi: 18m Abreu: 15m Damon: 10m Andy: 16m $59m |

People are acting like losing Arod makes them a team that isn't a strong favorite to make the playoffs. Look at the absolutely awful pitchers who made so many starts last year, that and injuries was the reason we did badly for so long last year. Now Igawa, Desalvo, Pavano, Clippard, etc are replaced with Hughes, Joba, and Kennedy. Losing Arod hurts but team is still going to win soooo many games next year.

[ QUOTE ] While Cashman may be making the right business move to not sign A-Rod sans an extension, the fact that Yankee fans in here are happy he's leaving is LOL to the max. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not happy. [/ QUOTE ] |

And what do you suggest they do with all of that extra salary?
Probably hard to do better than getting the best player in baseball. |

[/ QUOTE ] If Jeter does bad in playoffs Yanks don't have to deal with media circus cuz he has done good in playoffs with yanks before. Jeter doesn't say stupid [censored] to media. Jeter doesn't do stupid [censored] on the field to piss teams/people/media off. Jeter [censored] lots a chicks but thats fine cuz he's single so no biggie |
