nl100:turned straight on montone flop - fold river?
Villain joined the table just a few orbits ago. The only pot we played together he called my 3bet with 34s while on the button and won a reasonable pot off me after turning a straight...

Re: nl100:turned straight on montone flop - fold river?
Pot it on the flop, obv.
Min-raise/lead river could be a ton of hands. Could be a big diamond looking to build a pot, made flush, turned straight, etc. This is pretty flow/image dependent. By default, I call and make a note. |

Re: nl100:turned straight on montone flop - fold river?
As you said pot the flop.
Turn you're repping TP but because you came in from button villain could be supsecting bs. When you call his mini raise it shows you're either drawing to the nut flush, 2nd nut flush or you've got a decent made hand but are scared of the flush. River is a small bet which could either be a value bet or a block bet. I don't see any value in raising here, but I would call. You'll be shown a flush here often, but because you're in stealing position it could be a wide variety of hands. If villain had bet the river strongly I would consider folding as this line means a flush very often. |

yuck, turn minraise is almost always a flush here. i think you gotta call it down given his bet size though

agreed, yuck. I feel like a station when I call this. don't fold, but don't raise either.

Appreciate the feedback - fwiw I did call and he showed Qd7d for the flush, made a note inc. the fact that he doesn't mind playing suited junk for a raise. cheers folks
