i guess he could have a jack, but could he also have a weaker ace? call or fold? except for the obvious raise/fold preflop, limping is bad, especially with hands like that.
apart from that i guess your line is ok. but raising makes it so much easier |

this is a definite raise pf with the limper.
The river should be a definite fold. Think about the hands that you can beat. You cant beat any ace (the pot would split), you cant beat a jack (which he may have called with on the flop) you cant beat a flush (again calls the flop) or a set. Basically, you cant beat anything. Villain has called your bets twice, meaning he probably has something. Seeing as the best case scenario is a split pot, i think this is a clear fold. |
