Re: 50nl: AK on draw heavy board
I'm not sure if shoving > calling here.
pot's so big that if we hit anything on the river it'll be easy enough to get it in and we can never really make him fold with a shove on the turn. fwiw i shove this. we've got 4 outs to a house, probably nine to a flush and another 4 to the broadway straight. that's if we're behind which we're not all the time. |

Re: 50nl: AK on draw heavy board
Shove, if a heart hits the river and he doesn't have one than you've lost the rest of his stack.

Re: 50nl: AK on draw heavy board
I didnt know what to do on the turn tbh..
I guess I bet the turn cuz I was scared he had A10 or AQ on the flop and now I had the best hand. So maybe c/c the turn and revaluate the river? |

Re: 50nl: AK on draw heavy board
It's a really interesting hand. First instinct is, I got top two and redraws to the nut flush so I BET, haha to you sir...but then you really hate getting raised there.

Re: 50nl: AK on draw heavy board
As played shove. How can you just call here, putting in 29.50/49.50? What are you going to do if you miss river, c/f? That seems pretty awful. If youre going to bet turn, then shove over his raise. If you arent looking to play for stacks here, then c/c turn or c/r if youre feeling frisky and take it from there. Note: the only reason I would c/r here is almost any river is hard to play, even if you hit gin. You have to ask yourself how youre getting paid off if you do hit your flush or boat or royal. Wow so many outs, yea just get it in, I see a hand like that once a year and thats only if I have been a good person.

Re: 50nl: AK on draw heavy board
Blegh, A10 or AQ is almost not possible cuz of his pf play.So he must have 2 picture cards to call my bet on flop right? Maybe he would play J10 the same way we dont know.
KQ KJ K10 QJ and Q10 are all hands he could have. The only hands that beats us on the turn that we can put villain on are KJ and J10. Plz correct me if I'm wrond or forgot some other hands he could have. |

Re: 50nl: AK on draw heavy board
i really prefer checking turn....getting raised on the turn sucks a lot (not results orientated, i think checking turn is semi standard).

Re: 50nl: AK on draw heavy board
if I bet the turn here I shove over his raise. Without a read you can be ahead already, and if not you are most likely in a decent spot.
